West Virginia native, Brenda Hoit Riffe is a career Pre-K educator with the Kanawha County (W.Va.) School System. “A New Home for Harley” is her first published work.

Harley is four-years old (but he’s gonna be five in eight more months) and he has no idea how his life and Jax’s is about to change, and neither will you.

I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading it. And I came away with a profound respect for foster parents and the positive impact they can have on children who’ve been dealt a “bad hand” early in their lives.
